My diploma arrived in the mail! They sign the diplomas at Board of Trustee meetings, and since my defense was in the summer, I get the diploma now instead of having to wait until commencement next Spring. But I can still walk in commencement if I want to – I’ll see if my advisor wants to take part, because if he does, I’ll do it, but if not…meh, I’ve already got the diploma!
